Free choice "the lovely bones"
As many people know I am the type of girl that enjoys watching the movie before I read the book. I attempted to read “The lovely bones” first but I couldn’t help it. I recently watched the movie and I was somewhat disappointed with the movie. From what I have read of the book it seems to start off the same but then takes different turns that kind of confuses me. Although, I found aspects of the movie profoundly moving. The text stirred up a lot of emotion with me visualizing this young girl die and the grieving her parents must have felt. The book has many sad parts and at times it’s hard to put it down, but I am managing to get through it. Some books are better off as being left at books because I feel the movies left out so many parts, and also movies can’t really go into much detail like a book could. For once I honestly wished I would have waited until I was finished with the book.

i would have to agree with you..i have to watch movies before i read the books. i don't like reading that much so watching the movie is the easy way out.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you as well. I always watch the movie before I read the book. However, after I see the movie I feel as if I already know what's going to happen so I don't even bother to read the book.
ReplyDeleteYou mentioned that the bookl have some diffrent trist from the movie, would you say that it is better or worse than the movie. Does it go into more details than the movie does. If it was up to you would you have just made a movie out of it and not the book? Or would you have just made the book to it and not the movies? What are some diffrences from the book and the movie.
ReplyDeleteYeah i hate reading the book if there is a movie to it because the movie never give as much details that the book has given and even though i do not like to read the book is useually better
ReplyDeleteAfter reading and watching the movie precious, i think the book are better than movies because the movies doesn't go into as much detail as the book so the movie is like a big let down.
ReplyDeleteI'm always disappointed in the film version of a book I have loved. That's why I have avoided watching The Lovely Bones. I'll probably break down and rent it though because I'm interested in the director, Peter Jackson.
